Current events
Go Isla Go is a container of dreams and adventures that have no goals, but objectives.
Solidarity, sporting, individual or group challenges that aim to support a cause: that of the protection of children’s rights. A cause that Isla ng Bata has been pursuing for several years and which, thanks to many dreamers, is getting stronger every day!
Each initiative will be an opportunity to meet new supporters and volunteers and to grow more and more a project that since 2010 has given hope and a future to dozens of girls and boys.

Crossing the Strait of Messina 2025
Alessia, Alessio, Carla, and Francesco will swim across the Strait of Messina together to raise funds for the Isla ng Bata Family Home in the Philippines.
The solidarity ride 2024
Francesco’s trip to Isla this year will have a special value: it will retrace the 20 years of activity of the Association and will be an opportunity to raise awareness of the issue of distance adoption which has allowed us, in recent years, to change the lives of many girls welcomed into the Family Home.
In many cities we will meet supporters and volunteers, who over the years have joined Isla’s great family. These volunteers have shared experiences, skills and dreams and they have made our project, which since 2010 has given hope and a future to dozens of girls and boys, grow more and more.
Different stops will host small events, meetings and sharing moments, in which Francesco and Isla’s volunteers will describe the reality of the association, the stories of the girls welcomed in recent years, the intertwining of lives and dreams that have animated Isla ng Bata’s Family Home.
The Solidarity Ride for Isla’s 20th anniversary will touch 68 cities, in 70 days and for approximately 4500km along the entire perimeter of Italy. A solidarity undertaking that will involve many friends. Change the future of our girls: join Isla’s big family!

Isla's fieldwork
Since 2004, we have dedicated our lives to the most fragile and least fortunate children.
Isla ng Bata – The Island of Children works hard every day in order to provide a bright future to children who are lonely, abandoned or victims of violence, so that they get a chance at knowing the love of a family, to live a peaceful childhood and fulfill their dreams.
The Family Home in Philippines
A flourishing lawn, many animals, a well-kept greenhouse, colorful drawings on each wall and the joyful laughter of our little girls.
This is Isla ng Bata’s family home, which opened its doors in 2010 in Calabnugan (Philippines) thanks to the commitment of Francesco and Flora, two of the founders who live permanently in the house, and a group of volunteers who walk along the same path.
Isla ng Bata’s mission is to help children in need, give them a home to live in, guarantee them a quality education and the care they need to grow up.
Support our dreamers
A 20,000 km long ride from Italy to the Philippines, a 6 km swim across the ocean, a 42 km marathon in Rome.
There are many dreams and businesses in progress, participate too!
Walk beside us
The supporters of Isla ng Bata are the strength of this project which has been going on for more than 10 years. In this long period there are many boys and girls who have walked through our colored door, children who, thanks to the support of many people, have been able to offer a safe place to grow up and the tools to make their dreams come true.
Today 25 girls and the workers who take care of them live in the facility. Local personnel, appropriately trained, who, thanks to education and personal and professional fulfilment, promote a society that is more attentive to the fundamental rights of each individual.
The solidarity challenges of our dreamers have great objectives: to cover the most important costs for the structure, for food, for medical care and for the education of the girls we welcome.
Let’s achieve it together!

We welcome

We cure
We guarantee medical care, pediatric and specialist visits; so that health is not the privilege of a few, but a right for every child.

We love
We give love and take care. Together, we work to raise awareness and protect the rights of every child, from anywhere in the world.
Dispatches from the road
It will be like pedaling (but also running, swimming, walking…) together with Francesco and the dreamers of Isla, for the girls and boys we welcome.
Updates, milestones, meetings, surprises. Let’s live together endless adventures!
Together, across the Strait of Messina: we did it, together!
A few days ago, a team of volunteers from Isla ng Bata (including Alessia Zecchini, a multiple world freediving champion) accomplished a new sporting feat: together with Francesco, our president, they swam across the Strait of Messina. The goal, as always, was to raise awareness for the plight of many children in the Philippines and to raise funds for our family home. We’ll tell you how it went and provide links to see photos of this epic day and to donate. Thank you all!
