Three longtime supporters of Isla have decided to launch a new challenge and, after involving Francesco – Isla’s president – are preparing to swim the Strait of Messina. The goal? As always, to raise funds for the activities of the Family Home in the Philippines. Follow us and we’ll tell you about this great new undertaking!
Our new undertaking? A test of solidarity to transform the sea into opportunity, a dream into reality.
We are Alessia, Carla, and Alessio, three volunteers from the Isla ng Bata – L’isola dei Bambini association. Soon we will face a special challenge: we will swim the Strait of Messina.
With us will also be Francesco, founder, along with his wife Flora, of Isla ng Bata.
Ours is not just a sporting feat and a test of endurance, but a gesture of solidarity and hope. We want to transform energy, passion, and teamwork into concrete help for Isla ng Bata’s educational and social projects in the Philippines.
Every stroke will be dedicated to the boys and girls who are welcomed and supported in their growth with love and respect. We want to demonstrate that distance can be transformed into connection and effort into hope.
Our goal?
The money raised will go towards covering the monthly food costs at the Isla ng Bata Family Home. Each month, €2,000 is needed to ensure healthy, regular meals for the children we serve.
